The Magnolia Retreat - Waco, Texas

I was nervous about attending an all-women's retreat in Waco this past weekend with a bunch of women I had never met before.  Let's just say that I was silly to be worried and that I haven't laughed that hard in a very long time.  It was such a blessing to spend time with other women who share my passion for photography, family and fun!

We stayed in a Fixer Upper house and it was a blast.  If you remember the "Waco's Most Eligible Bachelor" episode, that's the house.  (Think big boat on the wall!)  David Ridley owns the home and rents it out to share the joy of his home makeover with others.  He's also a former model and no longer a bachelor, but that's a story for another day.  Let's just say that we may or may not have been trying to break stuff so he had to come over and help us.  (Kidding.... maybe!)

I was being lazy this weekend, so I am poaching photos from my amazing new friend Dana Elyse.  Her photos capture the house beautifully!  She is so talented!  I wish she were here in DFW!

We had a blast!  Great food, great friends and great fun!  It was a weekend of girl bonding and making big business decisions.  It was great for my soul.  I will be forever grateful for my time with these ladies!

Thank you to Kendra, Leslie, Dana, Charlotte, Catherine (Fruit!!!) and Autumn for spending 3 days with me and helping me be a better photographer!
